Ever stared at a blank PowerPoint slide, unsure how to turn your notes into something that looks good?
Or maybe you’ve got a solid Word document but don’t know how to turn it into a clear, professional-looking presentation?
It can take hours to get slides just right—especially if you’re busy with other work.
Good news: Microsoft just made this way easier.
With a new update, Microsoft Copilot can now turn your Word documents into PowerPoint slides—and it only takes seconds.
Copilot is Microsoft’s smart AI assistant built into Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It helps you get things done faster by understanding what you’re trying to do and doing the hard parts for you.
Here’s what it can do:
Take a section (or all) of your Word doc
Turn it into a ready-to-edit slide in PowerPoint
No more copy-pasting, adjusting layouts, or fixing fonts
It won’t add custom colors or background images yet, but it gives you a clean, professional base to work from—so you can focus on the message, not the design.
Why this matters for your business:
Slides are still a big part of meetings, client pitches, and team updates
Making them takes time
Now, you can start from a Word doc and let Copilot build your slides fast
You still get full control to tweak the slides and add your own style—but the hardest part is already done.
If you’re using Microsoft 365 and have a Copilot license, you can try this now. Just make sure your apps are up to date.
In PowerPoint, look under the Home tab for “New Slide with Copilot” or click the Copilot button and choose “Add a slide.”
This isn’t just about saving time—it’s about helping your team share ideas clearly, without getting stuck messing with bullet points and layouts.
