This tiny tweak to Teams will make meetings smoother

Ever been in a Teams meeting and heard, “Next slide, please”… over and over?
Yeah, same here. And if your business does a lot of online meetings or webinars, you know how annoying it can be when switching between speakers feels clunky or awkward.
But finally—there’s good news.
Microsoft just added a small but powerful update to Teams that can make your meetings run a whole lot smoother.
If you’re not too familiar with Microsoft Teams, here’s a quick recap: it’s a communication app that combines video calls, chat, file sharing, and collaboration tools—all in one place. It helps your team stay connected, whether you’re working from home, in the office, or a mix of both.
Now, let’s talk about the update.
Until now, only one person could control the presentation slides during a Teams meeting. That meant every time someone else needed to speak, they had to say, “Next slide, please.” It broke the flow and made meetings feel clunky.
But now? The meeting host can give slide control to multiple people.
That means when it’s your turn to present, you can move through your slides without asking anyone else to do it for you. It’s smoother, more professional, and just makes meetings feel better.
This new feature is already rolling out for the Windows desktop version of Teams. Hosts will likely choose co-presenters when setting up the meeting, making it easy to share control.
It’s one of those updates that honestly should’ve happened years ago—but at least it’s here now.
And with other recent upgrades like real-time text chat during calls (great for when you’d rather type than talk), Microsoft is clearly trying to make Teams more user-friendly.
